The stunning blue eyes and silky fur that ragdoll kittens have are a reason for their popularity. They possess some dog-like characteristics that fashion them to be great pets, even in a family setup. A common belief among some people is that cats love being alone. This is far from the truth because cats love being in the company of people and other cats. Here are some facts on getting Ragdoll Kittens Alabama as a companion.

Given that they have a relational nature, companionship is a great need. Being deprived of their social needs might lead to depression and loneliness. You could be able to notice some signs that they need companionship. These include oversleeping, clinginess whenever you are around, acting lethargic, destructive behavior like scratching furniture or knocking things over, over or under grooming, and loss of appetite. Getting supplies for your second cat is crucial. Just because the two cars will be buddies does not necessarily mean that they can share everything. Giving the carts the individual items will help to support in the introductory process. Some supplies that will be important for the second cat include toys, food, cat bed, treats, litter boxes, food dishes and, water dishes.

Ensure the introduction of the second cat becomes as seamless as it can be. The direct introduction should be avoided by giving the new cat its sanctuary filled with water dishes and food, toys, a litter box, and bread. You could allow the visitor cat to have an exploration of the house for one week. You can introduce the two cats to each other only after that has been done. Even if the process takes longer, it will ultimately work. Normally, the cats get along anywhere from two weeks to six months. You will also need to factor in the peculiarity of each cat, given that they will respond differently with the transition.
