This hybrid dog between a poodle and a bernese mountain dog fuses the virtues of its parents. To add on this, it is a low to non-shedding dog. As such, it is some kind of a perfect companion dog. This is what Bernese Mountain dog Doodle are all about.

For people who have allergies these, dogs that are low- to non-shedders, which makes them a safe select. These dogs are not meant for show despite their spectacular appearance. This is due to the fact that they are bred with the intention of being close to their owners most of the time. They keep their owners company when they are engaging in various activities such as snowshoeing, reading, lying on the couch, or hiking among others. Being best friend to their owner is their basic job.

Finding two bernadoodles that are alike is very rare. This is caused by the unique mixing of genes from both parents to make offspring that are spectacular and different from one another. This usually results in a lot of variation in a hybrid litter and owners should expect this. This is why it is advisable to have a breeder who is seasoned to assist in choosing the best puppy that suits the interest of the buyer.

Potential dog owners must understand one thing. That if a breeder exercises due diligence in choosing the right poodle and Bernese mountain dog parents, then the resulting puppies are likely to be healthier than their parents. This is because of hybrid vigor passed to offspring by their parents. Hybrids normally inherit health problems from their parents. As such, if the parents are free of health problems then the litter will do better.

The advantages of breeding a Bernese and a poodle dog is that they are purebreds that share very few common diseases. Bernedoodles for this reason are considered to be the healthiest of the hybrid dogs. They are therefore expected to have a longer and healthier lifespan than their Bernese and poodle parents. This is however not the case if a breeder does not put into consideration the quality of the parent dogs.

An individual should anticipate reasonable activity level from most Bernedoodles. In general, they love playing and running around. They are also excellent swimmers and retrievers, qualities they inherit from their poodle parents. In addition, the hybrid has a lower tendency of needing personal space. That is why it should not come as a surprise to see them following somebody around everywhere.

Like any other hybrid, variations in size should be expected in this breed. They come in different sizes depending on various factors. The first factor is the size of the parent dogs. The second factor is due to vagaries in genetics. Normally, males are bigger than females. Bernedoodles come in three sizes. The three are the tiny, standard, and mini sizes.

Finally, the dog needs training so as to achieve desirable qualities regardless of it having loyalty and intelligence embedded into its genetic makeup. Since they are likely to inherit stubbornness and sensitivity from their parents, they need to be trained to downplay these qualities. Training must begin straightaway when the right age is attained.
