Find A Goldendoodle Breeder In Your Town

By Tameka Mangini

Everybody likes golden retrievers. They suppose to be the most clever dogs, and they really are beautiful and loyal creatures. Poodles are also very popular, fluffy and clever. Imagine the mixture of those two species, and you will know how Goldendoodles look like. Maybe you should find some Goldendoodle breeder and see for yourself.

One specialty line called English Goldendoodle is especially popular. It is a cross breed between English golden retriever and the poodle. They have boxy heads and shed very lightly. They are well tempered, smart and gentle. One of them could become a perfect family dog for you, especially if you have children.

This special cross breed come as medium sized dogs, with 35 to 50 pounds, and as large, above 55 pounds heavy dogs. Their color is mostly light, creamy, and the quality of coat can vary. Some dogs will have loose hair, and some will be quite curly. This first breed generation is the direct product of breeding those two species.

F2 variety goldendoodle puppies are the product of mating F1 goldendoodles and poodles, and they have more poodle characteristics. Thanks to that, they can be smaller, maybe 15 to 30 pounds. Their coats may have all kinds of colors, including red, apricot and cream.

Another variety called F2 is the product of two F1. F3 variations are called Multi-gen variations, and they involve all kinds of different combinations of those generations. Sometimes they can have one third of a poodle and two thirds of a retriever, for example. Different combinations provide desired characteristics of goldendoodle puppies for sale, like shed reduction.

Puppies look pretty much the same, and you need an experienced breeder to tell you how will they look like as grown dogs. Some might inherit loss hair, some will be shaggy or very curly, or maybe with fully straight hair. Good breeder will know how to recognize that very early.

As all other hybrid dogs, they are extremely healthy. It's quite common that cross breeding of unrelated breeds give very healthy puppies. They grow very fast as well. This hybrid vigor can be found only in few first generations, and it will soon fade away.

Respectable and experienced Goldendoodle breeder will test all his dogs for all genetic diseases before mating. He will carefully check every single puppy, especially his hips, and issue a warranty for his health condition. When you decide to buy yourself a dog, make sure you know all about being good and responsible dog owner.
