The Most Privileged Pets

By Orsen Taylor

While most people are content treating their pets to the occasional plate of "people food" on special occasions, or perhaps going so far as to give Fido his own Christmas stocking full of doggy treats, some pets are pampered more than many people pamper their children. It has been quite common now to see some famous actress on TV, walking around with her little, cuddly, dressed-to-the-nines pet tucked in her arm. These dogs even have their own high-end stores where their owner can purchase expensive clothes, perfumes and shoes just for them. Not only are they pampered to the hilt, their owners also have their dog house air conditioned, and you can buy a new car with the jewelries they shower on them!

If there was a world record of the most privileged pet, then finding the title holder would really be tough. Paris Hilton's sweet, cuddly little pet will certainly be somewhere at the top of the list, particularly now that Paris has her own exclusive line of pet wear. But don't think those in the limelight are the only ones who pamper their pet, some of them prefer something more subtle like a Gucci pet coat with a Louis Vuitton canvas leather collar. And if they could spend lavishly on clothes, what more when it comes to grooming - there are the weekly sessions with the pet parlors complete with nail polish and full body massage.

Naturally, these very loving owners won't stop with just buying their pets expensive clothes and accessories. Outdoor pet houses are available with all manner of amenities, from climate control systems and upholstered interior furnishings, to exterior styling to rival the loveliest estate homes. These pets live like dons inside their fabulous home, with goose-down feather beds to relax in while their meal is are being served in sterling silver mini-plates. Pet entertainment systems are even available, for the feline left to watch the house alone, allowing them to watch video of fish and birds on demand (thanks to their own remote control).

However, the true measure of a pet's worth isn't when their owner leave them on their own to enjoy their personally crafted dog pad alone. They bring their "babies" with them when they go for a little vacation, and of course they would have to choose hotels that offer four-star accommodations to their little sweetheart, whether it's in UK or Japan.

Rather than hiring a common dog sitter, your pampered pet can enjoy their own private hotel room, complete with plush furniture, on site veterinarians, "personal trainers" (aka: dog walkers) and even room service meals!
